What Homeowners Say After Working With Us

High-quality work, clear communication, and results that hold up over time.

“Tom is very organized and went by his thorough bid, communicating along the way about what was happening and when. The end result was excellent.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chris C. — Leavenworth, WA

“Tom did an outstanding job. The job site was in a tough location. He was very conscientious and careful not to damage the existing landscaping even though that meant hauling most of the rock and stone by hand. The quality of his work was outstanding. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. I'd often look out the window and see him throwing the ball to my dogs!!! That's just who he is.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Bobby P — King County

“Tom is prompt, efficient, and I trust him implicitly. He has been a great ally in my home improvements.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Laura H —

Chelan County

Most of our projects come from referrals and repeat clients — a result of doing the job right the first time.

How We Build Patios That Last for Decades

At Dreamlike Builders, we believe your outdoor space should be as functional as it is beautiful. Our patio installation process is designed to ensure long-lasting performance, seamless design, and minimal maintenance. Here’s how we bring your vision to life:

1. Site Preparation & Grading

We start by creating a clean, stable foundation for your new patio.

  • Clear debris, vegetation, and any obstructions

  • Excavate to the required depth for the base system

  • Level and grade the area for proper water drainage

  • Compact the subgrade to prevent settling

2. Base System Installation

A strong base is the key to a patio that lasts for decades.

  • Install geotextile fabric to separate native soil from the base materials

  • Add 6" of clean, angular drainage rock (no fines) for stability and water flow

  • Compact the base in layers for maximum strength

  • Add 2" bedding layer of clean 3/8" chip rock to create a perfect setting surface

In this photo the base has wire mesh installed to secure electric heating mats for a winter snow melting system.

3. Paver Layout & Installation

Precision and craftsmanship are our priority during paver placement.

  • Lay natural stone or pavers in your chosen style and pattern

  • Cut and fit pavers for a seamless look around edges and curves

  • Maintain consistent joint spacing for strength and appearance

4. Joint Stabilization

We use premium joint compounds to lock everything in place.

  • Apply permeable polymeric joint sand to secure pavers while allowing drainage

  • Vibrate and compact to settle the sand into joints

  • Blow excess sand from the surface

We protect your investment and enhance your patio’s beauty.
